A Benefit Concert was held on November 5, 2009 with Proceeds benefiting Best Buddies Louisiana.
The evening featured Terry Hendrix, a Grammy Award winning contemporary folk singer / songwriter and Lloyd Maines, a Grammy Award winning American Country Music musician and producer.
The night got started with a guest appearance by Martin Flanagan.
A Buddy Choir was formed from local chapter participants. They practiced leading up to the event and performed two songs on stage with Terry Hendrix.
